Our Beginner's Sewing Class focuses on teaching you the building blocks of sewing while instilling confidence in your new hobby! This session we will be sewing the Estuary Skirt by Sew Liberated. This is a wonderful pattern for anyone looking to learn to sew their own clothes; it's easy for beginners and makes a timeless wardrobe staple. Skills that will be taught are paper pattern transfer, determining fit, fabric cutting, basic sewing, sewing elastic bands and buttonhole sewing. Fabric and buttons are NOT INCLUDED in the course and will need to be purchased separately by the student. However other notions, like elastic will be provided. An email will be sent out informing participants about fabric requirements before class starts. There will be homework for this class each week in order to finish the project by the end of the session. **Please note that this class is for people who already know how to operate a sewing machine, roughly speaking.
