Service Description

Our Beginner's Sewing Class focuses on teaching you the building blocks of sewing while instilling confidence in your new hobby! This session we will be sewing a large floor cushion that has a zipper and piped edging. This pattern has plenty of opportunities to play with fun fabric combinations and other details! Amongst the skills covered are installing zippers, piping, chain piecing, using interfacing for durability, and other basic skills. There note that there is no class 3/29, 4/5, 4/12 or 5/3. **Please note that this class is for people who already have a basic understanding of how to sew. If you do not know how to sew, we offer a monthly, one day class called Learn-to-Sew Saturday. We also highly recommend taking this class if you are getting back to sewing after a long time away from your machine. This course will serve as a refresher and gets everyone on the same page before entering into the more complicated projects in Beginner Sewing.
